How Dental
Insurance Works
We’ll take your insurance information at the beginning of your first visit. At the end of your appointment, we’ll go over the care that was performed so that the correct claims can be filed. We’ll ask you for payments not covered by your insurance at this time. Our team members will make sure that the claims are processed correctly so that we receive the rest of your payment from the insurance company. Don’t be afraid to ask for additional details about this process.
Dental Insurance
Coverage
Dental insurance companies have a large array of plans to choose from – which in turn can make it difficult to know for sure what is or isn’t covered under your plan. We can sit down with you to explain exactly what is or isn’t covered under your policy. The guidelines are usually around 100% coverage for preventive services like oral exams, 80% coverage for minor restorations such as fillings, and 50% coverage for major restorations such as dental crowns.
