Mamata Ponnaganti, DMD
With two decades of experience, Dr. Ponnaganti constantly does everything she can to provide the best quality and comfortable care her patients deserve. Not only does she enjoy meeting and connecting with new people every day, but she feels fulfilled seeing their happy and healthy smiles after they’ve undergone their treatments. Having grown up in a family of multi-specialty doctors, she developed an interest in pursuing a healthcare career, eventually landing on dentistry for its hands-on nature. She hasn’t looked back ever since!
Dr. Ponnaganti first went to college in India before studying at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine to earn her dental doctorate. She’s also undergone advanced training in numerous dental services such as laser dentistry, oral sedation, Six Month Smiles, and dental implant placement/restoration. She regularly seeks continuing education to refine her skills and remain up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies. She’s also an active member of several organizations including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
At home, Dr. Ponnaganti enjoys spending time with her husband, who’s a chemical engineer. They have a son who’s been studying in medical school and a daughter who aspires to be a doctor someday. In her free time, she likes gardening, cooking, and helping with community services such as soup kitchens and highway/beach cleanups. She’s also passionate about participating in 4-5 dental camps per year for homeless/underserved populations, along with an annual eye/podiatry camp to help her neighbors!
